Those of you that have tried to join or renew membership for the last few days will have found their card declined. We are very sorry about this. A failiure in the security check system following upgrade of the 3D Secure process led to a total failure of all transactions. Ultimately this was traced to incorrect settings which also explained previous difficulties wih some Mastercard paymanet. This has now been resolved and transactions are once again being processed correctly. It looks as if the issue with mastercard may also have been solved.Link to website...

The VMCC are looking to increase our team of volunteer scrutineers for the Festival of 1000 bikes.
In particular, we are long for Road Bike Scrutineers, willing to start at midday on the Friday 15th July, so scrutineering is nearly done by Saturday when the bikes need to be on the track.

Latest update for the Festival of 1000 bikes - July 16th/17th 2022 at Mallory Park in Leicestershire
We are very pleased to announce that 2 legends of Motorcycle Racing, one past and one present will be attending the Festival. Phil Read MBE needs no introduction, winner of 7 Grand Prix world championships, Read started his career in 1958 on a BSA Goldstar and retired from racing in 1982, achieving success on Honda’s, Yamaha’s and MV Agusta’s. Our other legend is none other than Michael Dunlop, making his TT debut in 2007, Dunlop was the first rider to lap the TT Course in under 17 minutes, this year he will be riding the Paul Bird Motorsport Ducati Panigale V4, no doubt in his usual spectacular style.
As well as star riders, some fantastic and rare machines will be paraded to include:- An ex Jean Michel Bayle factory Aprilia 250: ex Graham Wood Barton Phoenix square 4, Honda RC163 replica: ex Tom Herron Yamaha TZ350 and Suzuki RG500; Kenny Roberts Junior’s 500 GP machine; a display of 12 RC45 Hondas; ex Randy Mamola Ducati; 1969 Paton GP Twin; early 1970s MV Agustas and Manx Nortons from the 1960s and last but not least a genuine factory RC162 (TBC)
It's not just about the track though, we have evening entertainment in the form of two bands who will help rock the weekend away, the Beat 45s and the Del Sharrons

Wednesday 24th August, Signing on from 10am at Laxey Promenade. There will be a social run from Laxey, starting at 11am, finishing at Ramsey Courthouse. Light refreshments provided.
Thursday 25th August Signing on from 10am at Ramsey Court House, leaving Ramsey at 11am enjoying a road run to end at Peel, you will be free to enjoy Peel Bike Day! Light refreshments will be provided
MGP Racing Friday, Saturday & (Sunday possibly if bad weather) & Monday
Tuesday 30th August we are having a “Track Day” at Jurby, open to all rally entrants, separate entry for will be required. YOU MUST HAVE SUITABLE CLOTHING/ONE PIECE LEATHERS. This will be on the Jurby race track that we used for the Festival of Jurby events.
Separate entry form will be required. Open to all Rally Entrants and other VMCC Members. An entry fee of £50.00 will be required for this event which will have separate classes based on speed/ability/type of machine. Entry forms will be available nearer to the date of the event.

More news for the Festival of 1000 bikes - July 16th/17th 2022 at Mallory Park in Leicestershire
Subject to confirmation Guy Martin will be riding his Rob North Rocket 3 along with a stunning display of triples from Les and Denise Whiston of Rob North Triples, also Joe Johnson is busy working away to get a phenomenal 50 strong BSA and Triumph Triples parade for the weekend!
Other exciting riders due to attend are the Buildbase Suzuki squad of Christian Iddon teaming up with former Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent, 2019 National Superstock 1000 Champion and NW200 fastest ever newcomer, Richard Cooper and 2016 British Moto3 Champion, Charlie Nesbitt.
Also confirmed is the 1977 Manx GP Lightweight Winner and TT competitor Dave Hickman.
As well as all the action on track, there will be a very special demonstration of the thrilling sport of Motoball on both Saturday and Sunday and pre 65 Trials organised by the Taveners section of the VMCC and the Owd Codgers MCC.

The 2022 VMCC Raffle has now been launched. We have just taken delivery of a brand new Royal Enfield Constellation which will be the first raffle bike this year. This remarkable machine has been regulalry topping the best seller list for several years and is highly sought after. Tickets will be on sale from mid-February at the Bristol Motor Show and other events throughout the Spring and early summer as well as, from April 1st, through the shop, journal and other publications.
